We are inviting applications from artists and makers with a collaborative/ participative approach to undertake these residencies based at the forge at Gefail yr Ynys in Caernarfon.

The residencies are a collaborative projects between the Arts Council of Wales, Stamp and Addo.

RESIDENCY 1: NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY

Bursary: £2,000 for 1 month starting in October 2017

Deadline for applications: 15th September 2017

The residency seeks to investigate the potential of Gefail yr Ynys as a resource and arts space for Caernarfon. Working with the wider community, and in particular with members of CARN (Caernarfon Arts Regeneration Network) a group of artists, organisations and community members interested in the continuing development of the arts in Caernarfon, the residency aims to highlight the wider importance of arts practice in Welsh society. The Artist

The artist/designer/maker will be someone interested in working within the forge setting, but not necessarily an experienced metalworker. We are interested in receiving proposals from artists with an established practice interested in contemporary craft, environment, architecture or design with previous experience of working with others to develop ideas. An ethos of collaborative practice and engagement is uppermost.

We are interested in receiving proposals from artists with an interest in contemporary craft, environment, architecture or design who are seeking experience of working with others to develop ideas. An ethos of collaborative practice and engagement is uppermost.
