Navigations Art as Research opens 6-8pm 20th May 2017 at Oriel Davies Gallery

Seven international artists reflect on the nature of progress, decline, globalization and time. Using Wales’ Canal network as a starting point, where they have all been resident artists, they consider the process of making and thinking as an artist while responding to a particular site or situation. The exhibition includes sculptural interventions, performance, photography and video works and new commissions, including artwork presented outdoors.

The three-year artist residency programme partnered Glandwr Cymru, Arts Council of Wales and Addo and included projects with galleries and visual arts organizations, Bevilacqua la Masa in Venice, Emscher Kunst in Germany, Chapter in Cardiff and Oriel Davies.

The exhibition continues until 19th July 2017
